Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to enable students to develop management programs for rainfed cereal grain production, pulse production and oilseed production. Specifically they will be able to:
The content includes environmental restrictions on production systems; crop and variety selection; tillage and soil preparations; rotations; fertiliser use; timeliness of operations such as spraying, sowing, fertilising, crop production and harvesting; identification of problems and appropriate responses and control measures; and product quality and management. |
