Subject Description | Students will consolidate and extend their aural, transcription, sight-singing and keyboard skills, including:
Rhythm studies will include the analysis and performance of polyrhythms in ratios 5:2 and 5:3. Keyboard studies will extend skills that can be used to assist in aural skill acquisition and to provide the basis for simple accompaniment skills. |
Assessment | Individual sight-singing and rhythm performance (40%); 1-hour aural comprehension examination (40%); keyboard examination (20%). |
