A grade of B or higher in the B Mus audition, a pass in the Faculty musicianship and aural test and a minimum IELTS score of 5.5.

Subject Description

Students will participate in a staff-supervised Faculty ensemble as directed by the Dean. Students will develop the ability to perform sympathetically with other members of the group, be aware of the importance of individual preparation, become sensitive to the requirements of working musically in groups, have an understanding of the range of repertory available for the ensemble group. Students are also required to attend concerts that inform, complement and develop knowledge and appreciation of professional standards of performance.

Assessment

Punctual attendance at all rehearsals and concerts (45%); an individual or sectional part audition prior to concerts (45%); attendance at a minimum of five concerts as prescribed and approved by the Dean. A concert attendance report of approximately 100 words must be submitted for each concert to the faculty office by the last day of semester (10%). A pass must be obtained in each component of the assessment.
