Subject Description | The administration of financial and contractual issues of the building contract throughout the construction process. Rise and fall, cash flows and disputes between owners and contractors. The general conditions for various types of Standard Forms of Contract; the role of the parties to the building contract and of other involved parties in relation to cost and time throughout the construction stage; contract adjustments in relation to time and contract sum; preparation of claims for variations, progress payments and extensions of time; calculation of the rise and fall in construction contracts; project information management systems; project cash flow, liquidity control and forecasting. |
Assessment | One 2-hour examination (60%) and assignments to the equivalent of 6000 words (40%). |
