Subject Description | Topics include the practice of building rehabilitation, recycling, and its technical considerations; methods of investigative techniques, repair and protection of concrete structures and strengthening existing structure; the development, form and structural behaviour of spatial structures including space frames, membrane and cable supported structures with emphasis on buildability and construction aspects; the building facade, architectural, performance and construction detailing; the behaviour, construction and elementary design concepts of long span timber structures; steel fibre reinforced concrete slab technology; high strength high performance concrete; construction of superflat concrete floor slabs. |
Assessment | One 2-hour examination. Written and drawn assignments equivalent to not more than 5000 words. |
