Subject Description

This subject introduces drawing skills appropriate to design and building. These skills are taught through a series of freehand and constructed drawing assignments held both outdoors and in the studio, and are developed concurrently with the graphic skills required in Building Technology 1A and Introduction to Design. Emphasis is given to development of orthographic and delineation skills, and to the representation of form and volume. Content includes a digital skills module.

Assessment

Assessment will be based on a review of a portfolio of assignments set during the semester. (Projects, studio tests, exercises and tutorial presentations, to the equivalent of 7500 words). Assignments may relate to work undertaken in other subjects.
