Subject Description | This subject comprises two units. Personality provides a discussion of major contemporary issues in the study of personality, and selected areas of contemporary research which may include: the relation of personality to creativity and aesthetic preference; personality/intelligence relationships; the cognitive performance correlates of personality; the interface between personality and abnormal psychology. Social psychology extends the understandings gained in the first two levels of the undergraduate program to consider more advanced theoretical and empirical work in the areas of individual, interpersonal and group processes. Topics may include advanced research in attitudes and social cognition, interpersonal, small group and socio-cultural processes. |
Assessment | Laboratory reports of no more than 2000 words (40%) and an examination of no more than 2 hours (60%). Attendance at 80% or more of the laboratory classes is a hurdle requirement. (In case of failure to meet the hurdle requirement, additional work will be required before a passing grade can be awarded.) |
