Subject Description | This subject is comprised of three modules. Oral Biology I introduces the common oral diseases concentrating on causation, natural history and clinical appearance, and emphasises the prevention of, and minimal intervention in, these diseases. Dental Materials Science and Conservative Dentistry (DMS&CD) II expands on the data introduced in DMS&CD I (under Dental Practice 1b), emphasising those materials used for minimal clinical intervention. Human Development and Behaviour III introduces concepts relating to the growth and development process. |
Assessment | One 2-hour written examination at the end of the semester; written work of not more than 1500 words and practical assessment. |
