Subject Description

This subject aims to develop the skills and knowledge in identifying trees and other woody plants, utilizing arboricultural climbing and pruning equipment to safely climb and maintain trees. Plant performance in and selection issues associated with specialized environments, and study of plant group based environmental tolerances, specialized uses and themes are covered.

Assessment

One 3-hour written examination worth 50% of final marks, two assignments equivalent to 2500 words and worth 25% of final marks each.
