A 1-hour lecture and a 90 minute seminar per week

Subject Description

This subject offers an examination of the relationship between particular ethnic and Indigenous communities, and the practices and institutions of the criminal justice system. It explores different theoretical perspectives on the processes of victimisation and criminalisation as these affect specific groups. It examines specific issues such as racism, differential policing, access to justice and law reform.

Assessment

Written work totalling 4000 words for third year, 5000 words for fourth year.
