Subject Description

This subject represents a selection from a range of topics at the intersection of psychology and moral evaluation. For example the moral psychology of the virtues considered in detail with respect to a selection of purported virtues and vices; the idea of the unity of the virtues: can they exist in isolation?; integrity and integration as moral and psychological concepts; the idea of multiple personalities; Aristotle on friendship: Nicomachean Ethics Books VIII and IX; and pleasure according to Aristotle, pleasure according to Bentham.

Assessment

Written work totalling 5000 words.
