Subject Description

This subject offers a detailed investigation and analysis of one or more philosophical topics of concern, familiarising students with the philosophical topic or topics dealt with in lectures and providing them with the ability to evaluate research in terms of the adequacy of the methodology employed in the research and the effectiveness with which it is presented in publications. Students should also gain the ability to conduct library research and produce a logically structured, coherent and concise evaluative report setting out prior work on the area/s in question and indicating ways in which the topic/s could be analysed in future studies.
