A 1-hour language laboratory and a 1-hour lecture/seminar per week

Subject Description

This subject is designed to assist the language learning of students already enrolled in 116-049 Beginners Italian Part 1A. A weekly language laboratory class will, by means of audio as well as video, music, and computer activities, reinforce and improve students' understanding, use and pronunciation of Italian. A weekly lecture/seminar will be devoted to practical language learning issues. and then to an introduction to Italian literature and culture. By the end of the semester students should have acquired the skills necessary to read and discuss simple literary texts.

Assessment

A 500 word quiz, a 500 word dictation test and a 1-hour exam.
