Three hours of lectures and a 1-hour grammar tutorial per week

Subject Description

This subject involves the reading of literary texts; further work on grammar and syntax; translation exercises; and Ancient Greek literary criticism. On completion of the subject students should have read a number of Ancient Greek texts in the original and consolidated their knowledge of grammar and syntax.

Assessment

Two hours of class tests and written work, which may comprise regular exercises totalling 2000 words for second/third year, 3000 words for fourth year.
