Subject Description

This subject provides students with an introduction to Malaysian Malay and with the way it differs from standard Indonesian. Students should become familiar with the Arabic-derived Jawi script. The subject also involves an introduction to Malaysian culture, history, politics and society.

Assessment

Written work totalling 4000 words for third year, 5000 words for fourth year, and class participation.
