Subject Description | This subject is an overview of trends in modern Indonesian literature from the Nationalist period to the present. A variety of literary works are read and discussed in Indonesian, placing them within their historical and cultural context. On completion of the subject students should be familiar with the major schools of literature in modern Indonesia and their relationship to Indonesian historical trends; and have read and analysed a number of important modern Indonesian literary works of various genres. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 2000 words, and a 2-hour examination. |
