Subject Description

In this subject students' skills in Indonesian oral and written communication will be developed in the context of project-oriented activities. Project topics will cover a variety of issues relevant to Indonesia and Australia, and their relationship, including gender and ethnic issues. Modern technologies will be utilised to facilitate creative and social task-based interaction in Indonesian. Computer-mediated communication (email, computer conference) will also involve students with other Indonesian language speakers internationally. Students should develop all language skill areas through proposing, researching and writing projects that integrate multimedia resources and are presented in a format accessible internationally through the internet (e.g. as a World Wide Web site).
