Subject Description

This subject involves the study of advanced modern literary texts, including the study of contemporary Hebrew writers in prose and poetry, modern conversational idiom and newspaper and academic articles. On completion of the subject students should have acquired a knowledge of advanced literary texts in Hebrew. Students' reading skills and understanding of advanced scientific and academic articles and essays are further developed to enrich their knowledge of the modern written and spoken idiom in Israel today.

Assessment

Written work totalling 2000 words for third year, 3000 words for fourth year, a 2-hour examination, and class participation at third year.
