 1. Objectives of the Faculty

The mission of the Faculty of Music is:

• to provide, in a traditional campus setting, music education and research of international quality, substance, thoroughness and breadth, ranging across historical and geographical boundaries to address society's changing social and cultural dynamics; and

• at the undergraduate level, to provide students with the comprehensive musical skills and knowledge necessary to realising their potential in a wide diversity of professional settings; and at a graduate level, to refine a student's skills for a range of specific music vocations in the next millenium.
