Institute of Land and Food Resources : Guide to courses
The Bachelors of Agriculture, Horticulture and Resource Management are three years in length or part time equivalent. A fourth year Honours program is available which involves coursework and the completion of a research project under the supervision of one or more staff members. The Bachelor of Forestry is a four year degree with honours awarded at the end of the fourth year based on marks from the third and fourth years.
The Institute offers three combined degrees which are five years in length or part time equivalent: Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Forestry/Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Forestry/Bachelor of Science.
The Advanced Diplomas in Agriculture, Equine Management, Forestry Management and Horticulture are two years in length or part time equivalent, and in addition may require workplace placement.
Students are advised to consult the Student Administration Officer at their campus when planning their course, as Institute approval is required before elective subjects are chosen. The Student Administration Officers and Course Co-ordinators are the reference point for all matters relating to enrolment and course advice.
