 13. Combined degrees

A minimum (and in most cases a maximum) of 500 points is required for the award of two degrees. The normal requirements for the BCom pass degree apply, except that combined course students will be required to complete a minimum (and in some cases a maximum) of 200 points drawn from Commerce and non-commerce subjects.

At present there are approved courses that combine the Bachelor of Commerce with the Bachelor of Agricultural Science (and the Bachelor of Agriculture from 2001), the Bachelor of Arts, the Bachelor of Engineering, the Bachelor of Forest Science (and the Bachelor of Forestry from 2001), the Bachelor of Information Systems, the Bachelor of Laws, the Bachelor of Property and Construction or the Bachelor of Science.

 13.1. Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Commerce

For the combined BA/BCom degree students must complete a minimum (and maximum) of 500 points. Within the 500 points, students must satisfy the minimum requirements stated below for the BCom and the BA components.

Commerce component

A minimum of 200 commerce points are required which must include:

Arts component

A minimum of 225 points of study from approved Arts departments is required, see Combined Arts degrees.

Students wishing to choose subjects from outside those offered by the Faculties of Arts or Economics and Commerce should discuss their options with a course advisor in either faculty.

 13.2. Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Bachelor of Commerce

For further information, please see Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Bachelor of Commerce. Note there is no first year entry into this course from 2001 onwards. Students commencing in 2001 should see Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Commerce.

 13.3. Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Commerce

 13.4. Bachelor of Forest Science/Bachelor of Commerce
