Subject Description

This subject is designed with particular emphasis on further expanding the students' reading and writing skills and to extend students' oral and aural skills through discussion in Korean about a variety of social issues relevant to contemporary Korean society. Students should learn to communicate in a variety of situations using complex grammar functions and will be assessed on their conversation and aural comprehension skills. Chinese characters will continue to be taught. A wide range of audio-visual materials will be used including language slides, cassette tapes, and video cassettes.

Assessment

Two written examinations, two 10-minute listening examinations, two 10-minute oral examinations, and class participation.
