Subject Description

This subject is designed to extend students' range of language patterns, grammar and writing covered in the second stage of the advanced stream through the reading of texts relating to contemporary Korean society. It is also designed to extend students' competence in the spoken language through the reading of texts relating to contemporary Korean society and the exposure to aural comprehension texts. There is further development of oral skills for an extended range of communicative situations and on the correct usage of different speech registers. Further training in different writing styles will be given and Chinese characters will continue to be taught.

Assessment

Two 2-hour written examinations, two 10-minute listening examinations, two 10-minute oral examinations, and class performance.
