Subject Description | In this subject selected works by Greek-Australian writers are studied from the point of view of their themes, style, genre, social context and issues of identity, language and ethnicity. The role of tradition, literary criticism, canon-formation and publishing opportunities in the development of Greek-Australian writings will also be explored. Students should complete the subject with an ability to analyse, interpret and discuss the work of a range of Greek-Australian writers in an informed and critical manner. |
