Subject Description | Over the last 100 years Korea has passed through periods of foreign invasion, colonisation, domestic social upheaval, civil war and national division. This subject will examine the structure of society in terms of the changing patterns of education, employment, family arrangements, organisational behaviour, culture and the arts. Students who complete the subject should have an understanding of the changes that have occurred in Korean society since the beginning of the modern era in Korea in 1876. |
Assessment | A 15-minute oral presentation, a 2000 word essay, and fortnightly assignments totalling 1500 words. |
