Students must enrol in and complete both subjects at Swinburne University to receive credit at the University of Melbourne for this subject. Formerly available as 922-094 and 920-301. Students who have completed 922-094 and 920-301 are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

Subject Description

In this subject there is an emphasis on further expanding the students' reading and writing skills. Chinese characters will continue to be taught. The subject is designed to extend students' oral and aural skills through discussion in Korean about a variety of social issues relevant to contemporary Korean society. Students should learn to communicate in a variety of situations using complex grammar functions and will be assessed on their conversation and aural comprehension skills. A wide range of audio-visual materials will be used including language slides, cassette tapes, and video cassettes.

Assessment

Two written examinations, two 10-minute listening examinations, two 10-minute oral examinations and class performance.
