Subject Description | The object of this subject is to develop in the participant an ability to:
The content includes: Analysis of irrigation equipment for residential and commercial sites, interpretation of performance data to assist in selection of equipment, installation of pipe valves applicators and controllers, fault finding and repair of irrigation systems, factors contributing to excessive soil moisture content, soil moisture retention and movement in soils, soil moisture movement relevant to specific site conditions, the performance characteristics of drainage materials and systems, the installation of drainage systems, costing of construction techniques, work scheduling, site management. |
Assessment | Examination (90 minutes) (30%), assignment (25%), practical skills (45%). |
