Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend the participant's ability to:
The content includes: Tree management in gardens and public open space, selection principles, establishment in difficult environments or site conditions, pruning techniques, tree roots, (services, drains, buildings, and root barriers). Principles of tree replacement and policy. Developing resource and maintenance inventories, horticultural record keeping, plant accession records, budgeting and control. |
Assessment | Examination 90 minutes (40%), 3 assignments (20% each). |
