Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend the ability of participants to:
Content: Major and minor elements required for plant growth, elemental fertilizer analysis, soil testing and its interpretation, cost out a fertilizer, schedule a fertilizer program, calibrate granular application equipment, fertigation, demonstrate and describe cultural processes of mowing, coring, aeration, topdressing, vertical mowing rolling, and application equipment, on turf grass growth, environmental issues relating to the use of scarce water resources, pollution, and loss of natural areas, in turf management. |
Assessment | Final examination of 90 minutes (50%), turf grass fertilizer collection (25%), 1 assignment (25%). |
