Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend the participant's ability to:
The content includes: Cultural requirements of trees, dimensions, environmental tolerances and advantages and disadvantages of a range of tree species. Using design principles such as scale, form, and colour to determine the placement of trees in the landscape. Establish trees using various techniques, such as direct-seeding, tube-stock and bare-rooted specimens. Move established trees from one site to another. |
Assessment | One 90-minute examination (50%); aboricultural practice (20%); assignments (30%). |
