Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend the participant's ability to:
The content includes: Horticultural machinery, types, construction and principles of operation including tractors, mowers, chain-saws, sprayers, earth moving machinery, engine operation and performance characteristics, field performance and management of machinery including, machinery selection. Horticultural building designs, structural loads and component strengths, construction materials, retaining walls, foundations, pergola and small structural design, concrete slabs, building materials. |
Assessment | Examinations, two of 60 minutes (50%), two assignments (1500 words and a structural drawing) (50%). |
