Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend the participant's ability to:
The content includes: The importance of plants; cell structure; leaf, stem and root structure; primary and secondary growth; enzyme action; water uptake and loss; temperature and plant growth; photosynthesis and respiration; soil structure; nutrient cycling; ecology; mitosis and meiosis; genetics; the life cycle of a flowering plant; the plant kingdom; data collection and interpretation. |
Assessment | One theory examination of 45 minutes (20%); one theory examination of 90 minutes (50%); two practical examinations of 60 minutes each (15%, 15%). |
