Subject Description

The objective of this subject is to:

  • develop an understanding of the theory and practice of management accounting;

  • enable the student to use management accounting techniques in decision making.

The content includes: Financial statement analysis; costing systems; cost-volume-profit relationships; costing systems and budgeting.

Assessment

Two 2 hour examinations (40% and 50%); assignment of 1500 words (10%).
