Subject Description | Students will acquire skills in the use of computer-based music applications. Topics include a study of the techniques of electro-acoustic music, including MIDI, synthesis, musique concrete and digital audio sound processing. A broad study of historical developments in the technology and practice of electronic music is included. |
Assessment | Assigned projects involving practical use of computers (80%); a class presentation or short answer test (20%). |
