Subject Description | Evaluation of various facility planning and management models as well as application in FPM of concepts and techniques from such areas as: operations research; planning and management philosophies; environment behaviour research; design decision making; survey research, space planning, and risk management. Principles and capabilities of computer aided FPM. Basic CAFM skill development. Capabilities and comparisons of various CAFPM systems. Techniques for effective communication and reporting of FPM material. |
Assessment | One group exercise on modelling a FPM project including verbal presentation (50%); one exercise in CAD or CAFM application (25%), and one exercise in inventory or asset management (25%). |
