Subject Description | Structures and Construction 3A is an extension of the structural behaviour given in the structures and construction sections of Construction Technology 2A and 2B. The use, behaviour and elementary structural design of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and timber. The documentation of such designs for construction purposes. Selection of structural systems. Concrete surface finishes and shotcreting. |
Assessment | One 2-hour examination; written and drawn assignments and tests equivalent to not more than 5000 words. |
