Subject Description | An exploration of the relation of architectural form and practice to its social, political, economic, philosophical, cultural and interdisciplinary context. An introduction to a broad range of theory relevant to architecture including: Architectural Typology, Semiotics, Phenomenology, Deconstruction, Regionalism, Postmodern theory, Behavioural theory, Urban theory, Aesthetics, Feminist theory, Critical Social theory. |
Assessment | Assignments (e.g. exercises, essays, and class presentations) equivalent to not more than 5000 words. |
