Subject Description

Overview of cost management issues, preliminary techniques of cost planning. Understanding of the Australian Standard Methods of Measurement including measurement techniques for bills of quantity preparation, builders, estimating and bidding practice. Introductory approaches to construction cost control.

Assessment

One 3-hour examination (50%). Tutorial exercises and staged assignment equivalent to not more than 5000 words (50%).
