Subject Description | On completion of this subject a student should:
Topics to be covered include: Introduction to Computer Security; Issues in Network and System Security; Physical Security; Inter-Network Security and Firewalls; Viruses and Worms; Management of Computer Security; Auditing; Risk Analysis; Incident Handling; Recovery; Legal Issues in Computer Security. |
Assessment | A mixture of continuous assessment based on assignments, mid-term and final examinations, and project work. The precise composition and weighting of assessment components will be made known at the beginning of the subject. |
