Subject Description | Aspects of the following topics will be considered: distributed systems (typical examples, database and application design, reliability and security); client server architectures (design, planning, reliability, security, and performance); distributed systems development environments and implementation using Java and CORBA. Distributed object-based systems. At the completion of this subject, students should:

Assessment | A 3-hour end-of-semester written examination and assigned project work expected to average 8 hours per week. The weighting of the assessment components will be announced at the commencement of the subject. |
