Subject Description

This study focuses on the teaching of the Creating, Making and Presenting sub-strands of The Victorian Curriculum and Standards Framework in the Visual Arts. Student will study the learning of visual literacy, artistic development and curriculum content and how student practical achievement in the Visual Arts can be recognised, assessed and reported. The course will focus on the development of skills in classroom teaching, the management of practical experiences and budget planning. The program will focus on the development of secondary programs in the Visual Arts drawing upon learning and curriculum theories relevant to aesthetic experience and current issues relating to pedagogy, cultural practice and curriculum development.

Assessment

Assignments totalling 4000 words or equivalent.
