Subject Description

Study of aspects of the social, political and economic contexts of schooling. Analysis of the work, role and careers of teachers. Techniques of preparation of a literature review on a contemporary educational issue. Development of a personal philosophy of education within the context of teaching as a profession.

Assessment

Assignments totalling 4000 words, or equivalent.
