Subject Description

Conceptual analysis, analytic thinking and reflective practice. The concept of praxis and its implications for learning and administrative activity. Values theory, including the Hall-Tonna framework for values analysis. The concepts of the modern organisation and the learning organisation, including Schon and Argyris' Learning Model 2. Developments in behaviourally-based approaches to measuring human performance, technical rational approaches to administrative policy and decision making and values development for leadership in education and training.

Assessment

Essays, assignments and/or class presentation equivalent to 4000 words.
