Subject Description

Impact of information and communication technologies on education and training. Evaluation of software for HRD purposes. The social implications of information and communication technologies within education and training and the wider community - local, national and global; network communications in education and training, such as Email, bulletin boards and the Internet.

Assessment

A two-hour examination on critical concepts explored in this unit of study (50%), and a report evaluating a selected information and telecommunications application, of 2000 words or equivalent (50%).
