Subject Description | An in-depth study of the infancy period from the psychological, sociological, anthropological and/or anthropological perspectives. Content will include current research findings on the emerging competencies of the infant in the perceptual-cognitive, social-emotional and communicative domains; detailed appraisal of theoretical and empirical work contributing to ongoing debate on the role of experiences in infancy on later development (models of childhood vulnerability vs resiliency); the role of various contexts, including family and non-parental child care, on infant development. |
Assessment | A 2000 word review of a reseach article and a 3000 word personal vision paper. |
