Subject Description

On completion of this unit students will have an awareness of processes involved in the design of road and transport networks: they will also be able to perform such designs.

Topics covered include: Residential area design, traffic signal timing analysis and geometric design of roads.

Assessment

Three written assignments each with a maximum of 3000 words or equivalent.
