Subject Description

This subject involves programmed instruction under individual guidance from the tutor, then translation of texts from students' fields of study. The aim of the subject is to provide basic skills in reading German. On completion of the subject students should be able to read and translate into English a passage taken from an authentic German text with the aid of a dictionary.
