Subject Description | The subject will explore relations and encounters between white settlers and Aboriginal peoples between 1788 and 2000. On completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of the major events in and stages of the history of settler/indigenous relations in Australia. In particular, students will have gained access to Aboriginal perspectives as well as, and in relation to, non-Aboriginal writing on the major issues involved. |
