Subject Description

This subject is both grammar and text based and will drill students' ability to speak, read and write German while also contributing to the extension of both active and passive vocabularies. Students should complete the subject with the level of competency required for admittance into 126-017 Advanced German 2 (Core) A if proceeding to German at Second Year, or admittance into 126-018 Advanced German 3 (Core) A or 126-006 German 3 Intermediate (Core) if proceeding to German at Third Year level.

Assessment

A 2.5-hour examination, and an aural examination equivalent to 400 words, and a 10-minute oral examination, and weekly vocabulary tests totalling 600 words.
