Two hours of lectures, a 1-hour tutorial and a 1-hour computer laboratory class per week

Subject Description

This subject is a reading course in Semitic literary texts and inscriptions, with particular emphasis on one of the Semitic languages. On completion of this subject students should have a reading knowledge of the language dealt with, and a broad knowledge of the place of that language within the Semitic language family.

Assessment

Two hours of class tests, and regular exercises equivalent to 2000 words for 2nd/3rd year, 3000 words for 4th year.
